I have been with O2 for years and my current 2 year contacts ends in may. I have been in an Iva since November and it suddenly occurred to me that would O2 renew my contract as an existing customer? Has anyone been in this situation?

You should be fine to renew with O2 ..... It is normally when you change providers you hit a problem.

You should be fine renewing your contract. I was with Vodafone and upgraded when I was in an IVA and when I was BR without any problems. Kallis (Jan) who posts on here was with O2 and she has upgraded without any issues.

I'm with O2 and renewed my contract without any problems...I upgraded my phone too and went onto a new iPhone tariff without any issues. It is a bit nerve-wracking but hopefully you'll be fine too x

I've changed phones and tariffs. They only check.your account with them and as long as it's up to date there, won't be a problem.

Looks good for you and I have done the same with 02 so you shouldn't experience any hold ups there. Enjoy your new phone x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I've never heard of that before clee. Will you get enough minutes for £8 a month? Could you keep the contract and make up the difference from cutting back elsewhere?

I think that is what I will have to do, as I am worried if I leave 3, I may not get credit with another one

I would think carefully before cancelling the contract as you'll probably struggle to get a new contract.

I think you will struggle with getting another contract if you let this one go.

If you can fund it from other allowances then I'd keep it going.

Hi Everyone I'm new here we havent been accepted yet waiting to hear. I wondered if we had to give up our mobile phones as really they are 'luxury items' sounds like maybe not hey?
Gosh this is so worrying!
