Evening all. I am just going through the equity release stage at the moment. I have contacted my current mortgage provider, they are sending the no letter in the post. I have contacted two more lenders and cannot get past the phone call stage, can't even get a no letter. Has anyone out there had any success in getting a no letter?

Didnt even go through the interview, as soon as i mentioned iva, they both said it was pointless going through interview, neither company did a standard 'no' letter.

Not good - speak to your IP and tell them what has happened.

I was planning on dropping them an email, just wondered if anyone had found a sympathetic ear? This all seems rather pointless.

I think a few posters are coming up against the same brick wall. Let your IP know and see if they can recommend anything. You can't go to every lender in town just to get your second rejection letter!

Not good OT, as BOL says a lot of us are coming up against the same brick wall. Hope it's sorted soon. Hope the wedding plans are going ok too? x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

You all need a good party OT! Don't let the money worries ruin the torchlette's wedding for you. My sister got married last year and I wish I'd just thought F it for the day and had a total blow out! The rest will come and go but those are the memories that stay. x

OT, I hope the wedding plans go ahead as torchlette wants. Can't remember if I've asked this before, but are you on facebook?

Yes indeed, all running like a miltary campaign at the moment, reception is in a marquee, and we are praying for a fine day. We are doing most of the catering ourselves. 12 cases of wine from tesco website, barrels of real ale from a local brewery. (thats me sorted, dont know what everyone else is having)

Am I a friend Judo? If not, let me know, I'll email you (I have access because I'm an administrator) and I'll add you! The more the merrier!

I do forget some forum names for some of my FB friends!
