Really frustrated with the length of time GT are taking to complete. It seems unfair. Any advice ?

I have not heard anything either they just do not seem to care as to what happens. Am I right in saying that we are there clients as its are money that pays there fees?
A vexxing question. Personally, I feel less and less like a client as time passes and more of a pawn.

Yes, the money comes from our pockets, but it could be argued that the creditors are in fact paying, as the fees come out of money due to them. Indeed, some companies patently put creditor first!

Fortunately, however, there are some great companies out there who regard the client (us) as of utmost importance.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I'm exactly in the same boat. Been e-mailing them fortnightly and I keep getting the same automated response about the same issues (VAT and PPI). I call them, get put on hold and get told off a customer service member than no one can directly deal with my account and that they will call me back (which they don't).

I paid my IVA off last Feb 2012 and there is absolutely no other excuse they can give me. I'm now going to hassle Karol from this forum and go to the trading standards agency to inquire more about as this is getting too much to contend with.

In my eyes, GT have stolen up to £30,000 of payments and not given it to the creditors concerned. Absolutely disgraceful.

I didn't even want Grant Thornton to take over my case but they acquired the agreements off Blair Endersby but why if they cannot meet the needs of the customers. Someone has to be accountable for this!!!!!

I think that contacting Karol is a sensible way forward GreenTrader. Many forum posters have benefitted from her intervention in their complaints.

How do you know that GT have not distributed any of your funds to creditors? That would be very unusual givem that your last payment was made in February 2012?

The insolvency practitioner acting for you is personally accountable to you for the runninf of your case, so you might also want to contact him directly.

Well finally had a reply yesterday and wasn't great to be honest been advised that my case was passed to the closure team last month (thats despite me being told last nov/dec my case was with the closure team!!!), only 13 months after I made my final payment!!, and then went on to say the closure process can take up to 6mths!!!!, that's what I was told Feb last year!!!!, so its looking like it will be about 20 months in total!!!!!!

I can imagine your frustration, I would feel the same. I've only been waiting 10 weeks but getting itchy about receiving it.

Hang in there and keep hassling hopefully it will arrive sooner rather than later x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

GT are a blimin disgrace doing this to people. How on earth they think they can get away with this blatant lack of customer service is beyond me. Sooner or later someone will take this further. It just cannot continue.

Might be worth after having gone through the complaints procedure of the company in having a word with your MP, i did and as soon as i mentioned this to both the inept companies that i find myself having the misfortune in having to deal with at the moment, that got a very big reaction, the outcome of which i'm still waiting to hear but by all accounts it will be a very positive one.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.
