Hi, I have my creditors meeting on Tuesday and understand I have to call the IP one hour after the time given to discuss some things.
My question is, if there are any variations to be made, will it all be done over the phone there and then or will it be discussed then put in writing before I agree to anything.
The reason I ask is because if there is any variation to the equity in the flat or anything like that, I would like to speak to my wife first but wont be able to until the evening
Im not concerned if the amount I have to pay goes up or if the length of time goes up or anything to do with overtime or bonus but I just need to know about things that may affect my wife, like the flat, who is not in an IVA.
Your IP should call you as soon as the results of the meeting are known, to discuss the implication of any modifications. If you cannot speak to your wife until the evening, then as Andy says the IP should effect a short adjournment - perhaps only overnight - to ensure that you both fully understand the creditors requirements.
Your IP ought to e-mail you the details of the modifications that day, so that you have them in front of you when you speak to your wife, and should confirm your agreement in writing before the IVAs can be deemed to be accepted.
As long as I get to discuss it with my wife first thats all that matters really, overnight would be good as I wouldnt want to delay it for any period of time.
The fact I have time to talk to her and not have to give an answer there and then is good to know
