All I had to do was write a "to whom it may concern" letter stating the amount and my mum countersigned it, although I understand that that doesn't help you much Ruth.
I never thought of the bank statement though, as I give them cash.
I could have written your last post though Ruth, part of the reason they don't know about my IVA (although my mum does know about my being in debt but not the whole amount) is because I don't want them worrying about me and I am happy with the way I've gone about things. The fact that I've faced it and come up with a workable solution wouldn't wash - it would be all "why did you ever get in such a state in the first place" [:(]

I completely applaud that view Ruth. If you genuinely cannot get any evidence to support your payments to your parents, just tell your IP this and they can put a comment in your proposal to that effect.
