I had the 02 prepaid card. There were no fees attached to it, but I'm not sure if that is because I am an 02 customer. It does have an annual load limit of £10,000. The downside to the card though, is that purchases are not protected by it, nor is loss of any money prepaid on to it if it is lost or stolen.
For some reason though mine started playing up when I tried to load funds onto it, where sometimes I could prepay money onto it and sometimes I couldn't. 02 were little help as I just got passed from pillar to post to try and get it resolved, so I gave it up as a bad job and just use my debit card now.

I think that if you want purchase protection the only prepaid card that offers this is the Cashplus Gold Mastercard. If I remember rightly it costs either £4.95 a month or £1 per transaction and is pretty similar to most credit cards as there is an option to allow you to hire cars as well.

My daughter has the CashPlus Gold Mastercard and it works well for her, she pays per transaction as wouldn't use 5 per month.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
