Hi, not sure if this is the correct forum, so apologies.

My sister and her husband have been told that their PPI claims (made through EIC) cannot be paid to their IVA company (GT) until all 7 are finalised. They are now, as of today, waiting on 4 companies. However, this has taken TWO years to date. Is this right or should they now start to chase weekly to get their money, that will incidentally, pay off their IVA with some spare cash for them. They have been in contact with EIC but do not seem to be getting anywhere? Thanks in advance for any advice I can give them.

I find them beyond useless, so am afraid it might take them 2 years to do anything! It took them 7 months to send me a form to appeal a rejected ppi , it was rejected last year and just sent me a letter to day rejected and sign here to appeal... They are a disgrace
Officially debt free as of 10th Feb 2015

Well if I were the IP concerned, I would be very unhappy if the claims management company I use would withhold claims money from the IVA estate until all claims had been settled.

The Financial Ombudsman is now claiming to have a two year backlog in processing claims, and it seems very unfair that IPs are made to wait so long before receiving money which rightly belongs to your creditors.

This is made worse in your sister's case, as you seem to suggest that there will be enough money to repay her debts in full, with the remainder being paid out to her. This attitude may well be delaying the closure of her case, and therefore I think you need to challenge this approach robustly.
