Our 8 year old lionhead had to go to the vets this evening with what appears to be an obstruction in her gut. She's is spending the night on a drip and being hand fed and massaged at Hotel Vet. They aren't sure she's going to make the night --- if she does, she might need an op ..... there goes a chunk of the contingency fund (just as well we had that extra work come in!).

Funny how you can get so attached to a bad tempered ball of fluff.

Oh Foggy I'm so sorry to hear about that - I do hope she makes it. We will sacrifice everything for our pets won't we?

Fingers crossed, been there and done it a few times.

Thinking of you.

Aw Foggy.... I feel your pain, have had 2 or 3 pet rabbits over the years (one at a time I hasten to add [:D] ) - the last one, Pippa (black/white Dutch) lived almost until she was 9 years old. I hope all goes well with your bunny x

Had to laugh at the sweet wrapper - Pippa was mad on nuts and started jumping about at the first rattle of the jar we kept them in!
Final payment 1st April 2016.
Completion Certificate received 19th May 2016.

As you know she isn't supposed to eat sweet stuff -- she only has crumbs -- but has a sweet tooth. If she hears a wrapper being opened she will run across the room to you and beg! Her other favourite is raisins.

My smallest dog is lying on my lap as we speak (the computer is on the dining room table) and letting her breakfast go down!

Awww Foggy, I also have a house rabbit and it's a lion-head too - it's in love with one of our cats but unfortunately it's affection isn't reciprocated. Hope that your rabbit is much better soon.

Thanks for your good wishes, but I am afraid that Lily passed away this morning.

I know she was only a rabbit, but was a BIG part of our family. Haven't told young Foggy yet, he keeps asking if she is still at the Vet!

Foggy, I am so, so sorry to hear that. I know what it is like to lose a pet and it doesn't matter whether it is a rabbit, cat, dog, hamster or whatever. It really hurts.

I don't envy you having to tell young Foggy, we've done it a few times since our daughter was a child. It's awful.
