Hi worried mum - I am so worried about your problems. It looks to me like they stretched you way too far in the beginning to make the IVA viable and maybe a DMP or bankruptcy should have been the option. If you don't get the answer you are looking for I would take all the paperwork to the CAB for them to try to fathom it all out. Hope you get a reply from your IP soon.
I hope this can be sorted with David Rankin!! You can fail the iva at any time by missing three payments and then you can choose BR or a DMP...BR isn't automatic so don't let that scare you from pushing for what you need. The most important thing is that your family is comfortable and you are in control xx

Just to let you all know that Dave Rankin got back to me & I`ve spoken to 1 of his team today. He agrees that an IVA isn`t right for us & recommends a BR as he said we could be paying forever & a day with a DMP. If we weren`t at risk of losing our home, I think I could live with the stigma of being a BR if it meant my daughter got to go to Grammar School after all, but I don`t know if my Hubby will see it the same way or not...I feel like a huge weight has been lifted just knowing that we have options left to us...Thank-You all so much for all your help & advice...You`re Stars!!

Hi again forum friends,
my husband & i have discussed the pro`s & cons of taking a BR & we both agree that even though it has appeal as a "quick fix" neither of us would feel happy about it. HB said there would be no problem going on a DMP but that we would be paying for evermore as out of the £80 we`d probably pay, £45 would go to admin fees that seems an awful lot of money going to waste, would we be better discharging HB & trying to make arrangements with the creditors ourselves or is it too late for that?? Thanks in advance for any advice
