I do love the smell of the bread when it is baking in the breadmaker but the trouble is that daughter and fiance prefer white bread and hubby and I love granary! We do theirs and buy the granary.

The loaves from the breadmaker are lovely. We always have white bread, although I do like granary. Dave made onion bread last week but it's a wholemeal recipe and I wasn't keen as I don't like wholemeal.

Thanks everyone - Im getting some great ideas. I didn't know about Freecycle so will definitely look into that. Rosepetal, thank you so mucn for checking out the slow cooker prices that's really kind an you're right my children do realise we're short of money because ever since my dmp started nearly 2 years ago we've lived on a tight budget every month so they're used to waiting for things and God bless them they never ever complain. In a funny kind of way I think it will be easier on an IVA - don't know why just the sense of feeling I have - I guess we will see - maybe because I'll feel more in control and an end albeit a long way off will be in sight.

Julie, wishing you a very happy anniversary and I hope you enjoyed your curry - alas we didn't have any onion gravy so made do with normal but it was still delicious and great comfort food.

Nepenionsier, thank you for the Asda info - I don't have an Asda near me so I tend to do a main shop online once a month on payday which is on Wednesday so if they are still there at that price I will definitely get one.

Jan would it be possible to email me the info on the surveys - I'd be very interested to do them and I know there's a lot of company's on the internet offering them but wouldn't know which one to go with?

What a difference to this morning... I felt so low but now after these postings and great support, advice and making new friends my day ended so much brighter and I feel a whole lot better. Thank you all so much:). And I hope as time goes on I'll be making others feel better too!

I will sort out the survey info and get it to you. Tomorrow be ok? It helps fund Christmas for me and you do also get to try out stuff as well!

It won't help this Christmas but they do build up. It is time consuming and you won't be accepted for everyone but they do help.

I'm so glad you are feeling better. It's amazing how this forum works - the support is wonderful, I've been glad of it several times.

so pleased your feeling brighter tajsiva, personally I love this forum and have made some great friends and even met some of them this summer at Jans. I too do the surveys, and have done them for just over a year, have not taken any credit yet but just checked and have about £150, that will do nicely for Christmas.

Brilliant! The one I get Tesco vouchers for everytime I reach a tenner and put them away for Christmas, the others I get out in October to fund other pressies.

Looking forward to seeing you again in November nepensioner!

Yes, really looking forward to it Jan, I go on my big holiday next weekend for 2 weeks and then will have to settle down to the frugal life again. I know am still in the frugal zone as a friend came to see my new home last weekend and apologised for not bringing a house plant, but brought a tin of salmon instead. I was thrilled!!!

brill to see you much brighter tajsiva! the support here touches most of us at some point, glad we've helped you a bit.

a IVA isn't a quick fix,it's a commitment to getting sorted out, there is light at the end of that tunnel. if we'd done a DMP we'd have never finished it i kid you not!

you will soon have this stage behind you & yes i'm sure you'll be reaching out to "newbies", save while you can,hug x
Nothing stays the same...everything changes..hang on in there!

Good morning to all!

Had a really good sleep and the sun is shining! Thanks Jan that would be great - doesn't have to be today just when ever you get a spare moment. Im definitely going to do them if I can.
Nepensioner, that's very funny about the salmon but it all helps! lol - hope you have a lovely holiday.
Rosepetal I feel much the same about the dmp - I started nearly 2 years ago but feel that I've not made any progress and it was due to run for something like 23 years or more. Now at least I have a plan to follow through. This week is going to be a big one as I have to gather everything together - won't be able to post it until Wednesday which is when I get paid and will need to send it recorded for safety I think. Thank you all again for such great support x

I am so glad you are feeling better and I will send the stuff off today - I'm alternating between posting on here and and doing the ironing!!

We were in a DMP as well so know exactly where you were coming from there!
