Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

hi Teresa, sending you hugs for you and your son, my son had to have a nuclear isotope scan when he was 2 which he had to be sedated for as he had to keep still while they did it (and what 2 yr old will keep still when asked!) and it broke my heart seeing him lying there almost lifeless even though as a nurse I am generally clued up on these things so I do feel your pain right now xx
Hope it has gone ok with your son today Teresa - I included you both in my prayers. Be strong and you've got great support on here.

Hope everything goes well. Its awful the stress of paperwork and a sick child. My child is 2 now and was in and out of hospital for 18 months . Its awful watching them go through it. Hope all all goes ok x
Thank you everyone for your kind wishes and words and Im sorry I didn't to post sooner. It is true - seeing your child go through anything like that is heart wrenching - you want to do it for them.
Tuesday was a very long day - we arrived at 11.30 for our appointment and we had to sit and wait without anything to eat or drink until 4.30. As it happened they were running late which why I think we had to wait for so long. We were ok but one little boy collapsed with hunger - it was very sad.
My son was so brave when they were giving him the anesthetic - it was so awful to watch. One minute he was smiling and talking to me the next he'd gone. Whilst he was in theatre I went outside and had a ciggie even though I felt sick in my stomach. I don't know if it's me and everything that's going on but I was so scared he wouldn't open his big blue eyes again - I was thinking the worst - I think I ate 2 cigarettes in that half hour of waiting.
Thankfully the consultant came for me within half an hour so that I could go to the recovery room. The procedure had gone well. Unfortunately, my son didn't recover quite so well from the anesthetic so he was monitored for a few hours, they gave him an injection to stop the sickness then he was admitted to the night ward. But after a few hours and some more obs he perked up and we were eventually discharged about 11pm and got home at midnight.
He's still not right, very weak and tired but I was told to expect this as it would take a few days for him to feel better. I thank God for all my blessings and my lovely little boy in his jimmies watching tv right now.
We have to go back tomorrow morning to return the probe monitor and then we have to wait for our follow-up appointment in a few weeks but needless to say the worst part is over.
And thank you all again for all your well wishes it really means a lot x
