You can look at IVA.com for a review of companies. Melanie Giles and also David Mond (clearDebt) come highly recommended by users of the forum

It is generally a good idea to try a couple of firms to see who you feel most comfortable with.

Visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and reviews. Ring one or two for free and impartial advice as to all the options open to you.

As Melanie says, make sure you are comfortable with who you choose.

I agree with the previous posts. I spoke to 2 the first was just awful no understanding I felt like a number in a queue on a long conveyor belt. I have gone with an excellent company and can't fault them. Speak to a couple and look at what iva.com says etc

Ditto to the above.

Melanie Giles and David Mond are definitely highly recommended. Check out some of the comments about them on this website.

Good luck.

Hi Bec81

Have you taken the plunge yet?

I know it's really scary but believe me, the sooner you speak to someone, the sooner you will have a solution. IPs can come up with things that you would never consider yourself, no matter how much you investigate.

Speak to 2 or 3 to see which one you feel happy with.

I'm in the same boat as bec81.
I need to know the best company to go to and after reading through this forum I decided to get in touch with melaniegiles.com they were due to ring me yesterday, but never.
I've left messages on someones voicemail but still nothing !!

Anyone else had the same problems with this company??

And can anyone reccomend another firm ??

Many thanks

Hi,

I just think all IP firms are very busy at the moment. If you have left a message at Melanie's Firm they will get back to you - just need to be patient [8D]

I am sorry you have had difficulty contacting me - we are not aware of any technical difficulties, but we have relocated one of our regional offices over the last couple of days so it is possible that a message may have been lost.

Please try again, as I am sure we will be able to help you.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner
