Don't understand how anyone can get a secured loan whilst in an IVA or re-mortgage to cover an extra year?

A remortgage is generally impossible -- a secured loan is a possibility if there is enough equity to "protect" the lender.

But at an extortionate interest rate I imagine!

Probably, relieved. The game is to get the loan to deal with the IVA, then refinance a couple of years down the line to a sensible rate.

all this equity talk. :/ I feel for you guys. I have literally nothing and my debt is relativly low. Low in the fact that I will pretty much repay all I owe minus interest over the 5 years. I have no mortgage. I rent place to place and my biggest interest is my car which Im paying finance on. Of course if anyone here has something I may of missed to treat me with ? haha I believe Sue from PJG did suggest the option of a debt plan in preference but the IVA always has that extra security blanket. Im waffling. Its early /late . :)
Completed via Early exit loan on year 4

I've not posted for a while and this will be my final post. I am currently unwell, I am being treated for deep depression. I am in full time employment that I don't enjoy and now this just before my annual review. I can't go through all that again so can only see one way out of my mess of a life.

Hi Huddo64. Believe me please I understand completely what you're going through. Please keep talking to us, this isn't the end of the road and we can support you all the way and hopefully at least make the review seem less insurmountable .

I know it's scary but we can be here for you. X

It is I think though I have questioned it too myself. I know it's scary all that's going on with PJG and Creditfix but maybe it won't be as bad as you fear.

I empathise completely re your job as well. Sometimes it feels that you're stuck on a hamster wheel and every so often you slip off and ending up struggling to get back on all the while questioning why you're even bothering.

Are you receiving treatment via your GP already? If not or even if you are, please contact them tomorrow to let them know how you are and keep talking on here.

Sorry. I'm just having one of those days. Yes I am being treated by my gp. Just been invited for lunch by a close friend, someone to poor my heart out to. It's times like this you know who your true friends are. I'm sure I'll be loads better later and I will start thinking rationally again.
