Hmmm this is interesting. My last payment is due next Friday and I'm still awaiting my final review. I have chased twice by email this month and while the answered my other question still no response re the review. Think I will call them Monday.
Found this on the Trust Deed Forum via a google search:
Here's a message that Sue Clay, the insolvency practitioner at PJG Recovery, has asked us to share in the forum:
"We apologise if our absence from the forum over the last couple of days has added to people's concerns over the transfer of their cases to Chris Parry of Creditfix. As is normal in such situations, contractual restrictions on communications were in place whilst the transfer was in progress.
It is entirely understandable that people are concerned, but I would like to reassure everyone that I, Mark McFadyen and the rest of our team will continue to work with Creditfix to ensure that the change of Trustee does not unfairly impact on any current arrangements. I would encourage people with specific concerns to raise them directly with Creditfix in the first instance who in turn can then review your file and (hopefully) provide you with the assurances that you seek. Lines of communication between Creditfix and my team will remain open in order that we can assist where necessary.
The shareholder’s decision to sell the shares of PJG Recovery, which then resulted in a transfer of the cases, was due to its business model not being compatible with current market conditions or recent legislative changes. It was a difficult decision for all concerned and, after much consideration, Creditfix was considered a suitable acquirer primarily due to our knowledge of Chris Parry and our belief that he has a similar approach and manner in dealing with matters. Our clients very much featured in the decision process in terms of identifying a suitable purchaser.
It’s possible that some initial delays may be experienced in obtaining assurances and responses from Creditfix given that the transfer of case files and case management data is still ongoing. Hopefully this will improve soon. Given a little time I expect that Creditfix will prove themselves to be the suitable acquirer I believe them to be".
It is specifically about trust deeds but it also says the company have been selling shares as "The shareholder’s decision to sell the shares of PJG Recovery, which then resulted in a transfer of the cases, was due to its business model not being compatible with current market conditions or recent legislative changes."
People on this thread have said that they have been told on phone calls their case is being transferred so it sounds like it's more than just trust deeds.
I too am a client of PJG and will be gutted if it turns out to be true.
I spoke to them by email this week and nothing was said, I would be very disappointed if it turns out to be true I chose Mel for a reason and not to be told seems out of character
so if we'd been transferred would we have been told by now?? I too chose this compsny for a reason and to not be informed of such activity is not what i expected. I read about cases being moved snd felt safe with Mels team being such a close knit unit. Still have a long way to go with our iva. Feel very unnerved by this.
Melanie has given her heart and soul to this industry and every ne of her clients. However the small IP is being squeezed out due to fee cuts and other factors. Anyone transferred will have the same terms as before and their IVAs will be unaffected but the industry itself will be a lot poorer for the loss of Melanie from the personal insolvency side.
I for one wish Melanie all the very best and perhaps now she can spend more time with her family and can come on this forum as one of the best experts in the game. The fact that she has had to make some very difficult decisions is the fault of creditors and not Melanie Giles.
Just to reassure anyone with concerns that they will be notified shortly regarding any changes in the supervision of their IVA and that their terms/conditions will remain unchanged
Mel has always been very honest and open, having posted on this forum for close to ten years. She will issue a full update shortly and that I will post it on the forum
Thanks Andy ... I think we should close this topic to avoid further "speculative" discussion and await Mel's formal announcement once she is in a position to do so.
Those impacted by the changes will hear direct from their IP.
