It's the same for cats, unless I want to pay a fortune for their Supercat policy you really don't get much from Petplan.

The Argos cover looks really good - I've just phoned them and they give £7k cover per year, rather than per condition so you get a 'new' £7k every year.

As Harry is priceless I can live without the Nectar points and £70 cashback!

Did you check whether or not the condition would be covered if you renewed?

Some of them will do 'per year' but if you've claimed then it might be excluded.

I'll double check but it says on the website

"Ongoing cover is provided up to £7,000 per year, subject to premiums being paid and up-to-date and the policy renewing each year."

That's pretty good then. I did look at them but wasn't impressed at the time. I shall look again when renewal comes up for the older two.

I've never looked at them before but it does seem quite good cover. I also read the policy document and under what's not covered it says 'Any treatment exceeding £7,000 per year under Platinum' so it sounds to me as though providing you renew you get £7k a year and that can will also cover anything you've already claimed for.

I've just phoned Argos (again!) and they have confirmed that it's cover for life, and if you have a claim, you can then claim for the same problem the following year.

I was also told that if you take out the insurance on the phone rather than online there will be no break in your insurance and you will have full cover from as soon as your old policy finishes - most new policies don't cover you for the first couple of weeks of the policy.
