Hi there

Most of the work which needs doing can be done over the telephone and via e-mail these days, and a lot of my clients actually prefer this method, but if you feel that you want a face to face meeting locally then Ian is ideally situated for you.

I've had three of these calls in the last two weeks. Often the call is random generated from outside the UK. If you respond positively they then hot key transfer you to the Debt Advice Centre for whom they are working.

I agree Melanie, I think you can propose an iva on the phone, by email and post. At first, if you remember, I was keen on a face to face but as soon as I started dealing with you I did not feel it so important and I don't think my case was too complicated!!

John - where do they get your number from. I am really worried about my mother getting calls on my behalf.

emma_t They use a random dialer to establish whether a number is live then call it back with their recorded message.

It is random dialer, I believe (according to work) if they get a 'hit' then it repeatedly dials your number until you 'give in'. If it doesn't get an answer/hit within say, for arguments sake, 6 attempts (more like 50, or so it feels)then it drops your number from the list.

It's just a pain!![:(]
