I've been with PayPlan since June last year. Overall I've found them to be very good. I have no problem contacting them and my direct contact is always available. They are easy to talk to and I've never found them rude or condescending. I usually contact them by e-mail so that I have a record of what I was asking and their reply and I receive a response promptly, (usually the same day if I e-mail them first thing. Since my IVA began I've had 2 requests for my last 3 months payslips, (July to September and October to December) and each time I've received a response from them in writing within 2 working days of me posting them.

Having said that, I suppose you don’t really know how your IP performs until there is a problem – but so far I haven’t had any.

Hi Anais,

I'd take earlier advice and shop around a bit. There's a lot of good firms and IP's out there. Theres a list somewhere, I'm sure someone will remind us where, that rates all IP's and firms on the basis of customer feedback.....very useful....though if you want to save yourself some time, contact Melanie's firm, her rating outstrps everyone elses by a proper country mile!!!

Either way, take your time and select a fim you feel comfortable dealing with. An IVA is for 5 years which is a long time in amy relationship, not least one as important as managing through what can at times be a challenging process...

Very best wishes,

Martin

Have a look on www.iva.com - many companies are reviewed on the site.

Hi NED - CAB,

for clarification purposes -I absolutely fully endorse the ethic of CAB and free advice agy's but I have found that most CABx usually refer to Payplan. I have no issue with this other than there are others out here, as this forum shows, that can also help !
