You just need your prescription and fill it all in!! I have to buy 2 lots as I have severe astigmatism in 1 eye and whilst the other eye has one I can get away with a normal lense. So I end up having 6 months supply as I have to buy 2 lots. Not tried anywhere else but some of my friends do.

If you dont want to order from overseas, then it is definitely worth ordering online, you will save a packet compared to High Street prices.
You can still visit the optician to get a prescription, you are not obliged to buy lenses from them.
