I'm due a contact lens check and I was wondering where other people go, and how much they pay?

I've been going to Specsavers, but it's not as convenient now, and I might need to change and I need a few opinions!

Thanks!

I haven't worn contact lenses for years!

I had laser treatment done a few years ago and it was brilliant! Not cheap but I've not needed glasses since then.

I can recommend it.

I have bought mine online and never had a problem. Tesco are pretty good b ut you have to buy them in 3 months bulk so it depends on if your budget can stretch that far in the first instance. You just need your prescription and fill it all in!! I have to buy 2 lots as I have severe astigmatism in 1 eye and whilst the other eye has one I can get away with a normal lense. So I end up having 6 months supply as I have to buy 2 lots. Not tried anywhere else but some of my friends do.

My partner always buys lenses online from the USA, they have the same brands as here at 1/2 the price.
If you dont want to order from overseas, then it is definitely worth ordering online, you will save a packet compared to High Street prices.
You can still visit the optician to get a prescription, you are not obliged to buy lenses from them.

I use an online UK based company - they sell all the usual branded ones - including the dailies.

Both my sons wear contacts but they're both with specsavers too. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thanks for that. I usually get the lenses from Asda but I'll have a look at other sites.

I just need to find a new optician now!
