Great feeling Pog you enjoy it, NR sounds positive Cath, hopefully they will wait to hear from your IP. Barclays are a pain, ignore them it won't be long now.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I just hope me and Cath will be in your position soon Pog!! Your situation sounds similar to ours - robbing Peter to pay Paul, and never having the benefit of our wages as the overdraft was eating them up. We've managed so much better since the beginning of September when we first contacted VB and started budgeting. I just know we can do this for 5 years no problem x

I am rooting for you all.....I am so pleased we finally did it although we should have explored this route a couple of years ago. At least now if we get offered a little overtime it is additional as before it was just swallowed up as I have now worked out that each month we were probably minus £600 before we even started to live! We never budgetted as there was not enough money left to budget with! xxx
Gosh.....life is so much easier!

There is always hope in any situation we face in our lives. We have even managed to put the amount of our potential IVA into savings and carry on with life without having to rely on credit. Pog, we were about the same as you £- before we even paid for food. I really believe we will be better off in the IVA than before, emotionally and financially and knowing that we are paying back as much as we can. I know there will be rocks along the way but it's positivity now all the way. xxx

Where still waiting to hear off barclaycard, but American Express just wont give up !! Phone starts about 8.30 am and the last call was about 9pm last night, they must phone up to 10 times a day. Dont answer the phone anymore to them !! Think they would get the message !!

I agree Cath - we think we'll be much better off in an IVA - we're already managing so much better without credit. I've done all my creditor letters tonight, will be sending them off tomorrow, along with my authority letters to Melanie - phone's still unplugged, but have been getting quite a few letters - Sygma Bank are the worst, the others have gone relatively quiet. My husband had two calls from MBNA on his mobile which he just ignored!! x

Nationwide credit card just been on our case, kept going on about DMP and token payments, after telling them several times we were doing an IVA they still went on about DMP and token payments. They said the card was in 31 days arrearss and we have 90 days altogether to get a solution before it goes to the debt collection agency. Hopefully all will be sorted by then!

They said they have recieved the letters but that didn't seem to make any difference.

They work off a script Cath, so unless you utter the magic words 'I'm going to make a payment', they won't want to know.

Even if it gets to the debt collection agency, it will be a while before anything happens.

Cath sorry to hear Nationwide have you under seige but just keep reminding them of your IP's details and if they wish to communicate further with you then they can do so via your IP.

Keep your chin up....

ps: Ronald had a good suggestion.

Hi Cath, hope things are going well for you. I've got our IP phone interview on Monday, 19 October, had our home phone number changed (Free of charge with Virgin), so am able to plug the phone in without worrying!! Global Vantedge keep trying to call my husband (for MBNA), but he ignores them. Had a really nice letter from MBNA for the credit card though, offering assistance in "our current difficult financial Situation"!. That was a refreshing change. Where you up to with yours? xx

We're just not answering the calls now, we know the numbers when they do call and click them off.

Still waiting for 1 doc Rainbow and then we should be on our way but they are a local company and don't have a clue.

MBNA landed several letters through my door today and they texted me too, thankfully I changed the work number although the salon did get a few dodgy calls today which could have been them. MBNA are the only creditor who had the salon phone number.

I've written to them about the situation, so sod them and if their system generated calls do get through to the salon, I'll just have to tell the girls what is happening in my life and ask them to say that I don't work there anymore and they don't know where I am.

You could always just say that you are having problems with MBNA trying to sell you something, or you have a dispute with them and then ask them to say that you don't work there anymore, you've set up on your own and they have no contact details.

That way, if you don't want to tell them the full facts, you don't have to.
