Hi Guys, I am seriously fed up with Tesco Credit Card,I have double double checked and they voted for our IVA but yet again today I am bombarded with calls, and text messages threatening more acion if I do not respond immediately. So I rang them, and again, no knowledge of the IVA, can see I have called blah blah, but I MUST pay now today, so I just put the phone down after asking them to stop harrasing me.Awaiting a confirmation from Payplan that they have dealt with this, which I am sure they have, I thought I was over all the harrasment calls !
Plus side got my problem from my last post sorted, and PAYDAY yipee

Unfortunately some of these firms just do not give up - communication has obviously broken down between the powers that be and the call centres.

Is your name on the Insolvency Register yet? If so, the next time they phone up, demand that they check on there and if they say they can't due to Data Protecion, tell them they can because you give them permission.

Otherwise, I'm afraid I wouldn't be very polite!

Rest assured they can do nothing to you.

Anyone can access the insolvency register online, they don't need your permission.

You will find that a lot of the call centres quote the Data Protection Act at you when you ask them to look at the register.

I am aware that it is in the public domain.

Many call centres quote the Data Protection Act when it suits them whether it applies or not!

Tell Payplan to refer this harrasment to The Insolvency Exchange - the firm who represent this creditor and will have dealt with most of the administration.

Thanks everyone, especially Melanie, for her time talking to me a non customer, Payplan will deal with this I am sure, what really annoys me is they all start off with hello, good morning/afternoon.evening, we are tesco credit card updating our marketing records, can you conf irm your work number please, or sometimes mobile number, then straight into the we are calling to request a payment. How naughty is that pretending to ring about something else first!
It is 7 weeks post IVA, 2nd payment due next week, two steps closer to a brighter future.

Kepp strong, you are in an IVA so your should be technically safe from these idiots. I had calls for a while from companies but they stopped after a while and now all i get is the odd letter giving me a breakdown of funds etc.

You're absolutely fine, they can't touch you at all.

Yep most definitely protected, its the annoyance of being harrassed more than anything else.

I would say though if they get stroppy on the phone just say to them I am in an IVA which has already been agreed therefore this phone call demanding money is not allowed and you should remove me from your system immediately. Any further calls and I will consider proceeding against you for unlawful harassment.

Lots of Love and big kisses

Update, had two emails from Jodie today at Payplan, and many thanks to her for her quick response. They have dealt with this for me, and I should hear nothing else from Tesco Credit Card.
