Oh Trees what bad news, I hope you are feeling a bit better now and have had a chat with Melanie this evening...
Echo what Lily says maybe its better that this happened before your iva and not after it was accepted...

If anyone can help you find a way to continue it will be Melanie, so best wishes and good luck.

Let us all know
Emma xx

Hi all, hope everyone is ok this morning.I had a chat with Melanie last night,i felt awful as it was her tea-time and our conversation ran over a little,so apologies again Melanie!
She has suggested that we put things on hold until i get my employment sorted.I've had a call this morning from the company i mentioned earlier and they want me to pop in on Monday for a chat about hours, wages etc so hopefully they will have something for me.
I have real mixed feelings about the situation today.I have guilt as i know that the company i'm currently working for is struggling and where it is only a small company i've got to know the family well, but at the same time i feel a little hurt and in a way betrayed as they had a crisis meeting in my absence and decided my fate with no consultation.Still we'll see what happens Monday and thanks to you all once again for your kind words xx

Sounds hopeful for Monday, Trees, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Don't feel bad about trying to sort out employment for yourself, you have to look after your best interests and do what is best for you. I'm sure they will understand AND it might take the pressure off them to give you hrs that they could maybe save on. Try to not worry so much, with Melanie in your corner things will get sorted,
xx
It's nice to be back......

You go for it girl! Your current employer has not really thought much about you in all of this, and your loyalty to them is commendable. Get your best suit out and dress to impress on Monday, and I am sure we will be finalising the proposals for you next week. Positive head and look to the future!

Sounds more positive, you go for it on Monday - look after number 1!!
You may feel loyalty to your current employer but at the end of the day loyalty will not pay the bills!!

Best of luck on Monday and I really hope for a positive outcome so you can get things back on track[:)]

Hi Trees

I agree with what the others have said about Monday, go for it.

However, try not to put yourself under too much pressure, it can work the other way. Dont see it as; 'I must get this job, my life depends on it' or you might just go to pieces on the day. (I doubt you will be sleeping much now anyway). We will all be with you in spirit but remember, what will be will be. The most important thing right now is you and those that love you.

Take care hun
love
lily

Trees when you look at it the company you are presently working for have no other compulsion than keeping their business afloat. It isn't personal, it's business.

Now you need to look along those lines and start thinking about yourself. You may have a good relationship with them but you need to think about you and yours and I'm sure the only reason they have reduced your hours rather than completely getting rid of you is the hope that some of the people will leave, meaning no payments for redundancy if that comes along!

Sounds awful I know, but I also know a few people who have had this happen to them AND who have done it to their employees.

As I said, it isn't personal, it's business!

Good luck for Monday and try and have a restful weekend....
