Creditors meeting 2 weeks ago had to be adjourned for slight modification(extra £16 per month). I was told by phone yesterday that it had been approved, got the nice letter from my case manager this morning.....Great!!!
Then get a phone call saying Northern Rock (my major creditor) had voted no,but my IP didn't get it!!!
They are looking into it now,but just bl**dy typical isn't it.....happy and relieved that it was approved then back to worrying again!!!
Steve

Surely, once it's approved and you have agreed to it, then it's legally binding? That's what we were told.

I presume that your IP thought that NR hadn't voted.

What a kick in the teeth!

Fingers crossed for you.

You would have thought your IP would have been aware of N/R's stance and double checked as they were the major creditor.
Good Luck

Phew!! Sorted!!
Apparantly NR have agreed that as they can't prove that they sent a fax, the vote will stand and the IVA is approved - the IP said that they were getting the paperwork out "before they change their minds!!"
Never easy is it!!

Thats great news Steve.
Seems strange that they can't prove they sent a fax doesn't it. You would think it would be standard practice to ensure receipt with important faxes like that.

Glad it all worked out in the end for you, though it must have been an agonising time for you.

Wonder which smart arse(pardon my language) at NR thought it would be funny to mess you around and have you in a cold sweat thinking that your approved IVA was no more?????

Hi
What a strange story.
I am so glad for you,at the end of the day someone has messed up at NR,thankfully as they can't prove that they communicated on or before the day there is nothing that they can now do
