The Great Gig in the Sky - it is one of my favourite tracks. A real classic Jan!

The singer recorded it completely off her own back in one take - and thought she had done a really bad job! I absolutely love it, and often have it blasting down my lanes when I am driving home from work.

I have to agree with Melanie on this. Comfortably Numb is by far and away the best Pink Floyd song with an amazing guitar solo.
Gilmour and Waters reunited at Live 8 was magical.

Yes Claire Torry I think sang Great Gig In The Sky. She gives me goosebumps every time!!

But! she also sued the band as they did not credit her as a composer of the song, even though she created the melody - she just got a one off session fee. Eventually she won and I guess now would be very minted indeed from that track...I had better get practising he he!!

Thanks for everyones help here, you all have been a great comfort at a very scarey time for me.

I did decide to take the loan today and it all went straight through [:D] I am soooo looking forward to ring the creditors now!! The long long journey begins here for me!!

Good luck everyone and thanks again!

That's the one Mel, and I absolutely detest it!

Good luck Dodo Donna. Keep us informed as to how you are getting on.
