Hi,

I am new to the forum, I have been reading messages for the last couple of months, and found it really interesting and helpful with any queries that I may have. I have just posted a reply message to the overtime and bonus query, any comments would be appreciated. I would just like to add a positive note to an Iva my husband and i seperated last year a lot due to our financial situation putting so much strain on our relationship. Now we are in an Iva we can see a light at the end of the tunnel. We are getting back together in March and looking to a debt free future when we can once again buy a house together giving us and our two young children some security. We had to sell our dream home in 2005 as we could not see a way out of our problems looking forward to being happy again[:)][:)]

I have no clauses in my IVA regarding overtime or bonus. At my last review my IP raised my income figure but I do not know what percentage he took of my overtime as My expenditure increased from the previous year. I do not have a consistent basic weekly wage but a maximum weekly wage before overtime (paid at time and a third) kicks in. Sounds confusing but for example on Tuesday it rained I did not work so I did not get paid. My take home wage next week will be lower than a normal week. So, basically, I do not know how my IP works out my payment.
PS. I am PAYE.

Hi Hovish and welcome. I am so pleased to see things are looking better for you and so nice to see you are getting back together. It shows unfortunately how the pressure of debt can affect a relationship, but also you show it can be repaired as well, all the very best to you both and hope to see you posting more rather than just reading.
