Hi Everybody,

My wife has been offered a job with British Airways in there contact centre. Her start date is the 14th August so a week today. They have now told her that whilst checking her credit report they have a concern about our IVA. This was completed 18 months ago but obviously it still shows on our credit file until early next year.
We are getting concerned that with just a week to go until she starts her job, can the IVA be a stumbling block for her starting?

Thanks.

This seems very harsh especially as the IVA completed. If they have concerns show a copy of the completion certificate which confirms that all debts were discharged and that she complied with her obligations to creditors. Even if she was still in the IVA this would be harsh but for one long closed it seems particularly unfair.

I would imagine that they do not fully understand what an IVA is and might need a little educating.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
