New Job!!!!

it is and my HR manager,and company managers have said it has been the hardest last month of their working lives trying to fit the right people in the right jobs,not easy for everyone.

It will improve Mrbluesky...you seem to have a good infrastructure with HR and management there. Hope this helps everyone involved.

One of the downsides of HR is dealing with redundancies...not something everyone appreciates.

i can see that the end game is to minimise hard redundancies and if possible to have none.the unions and the company are working hard at that,i have experienced that going through the process,but the people still waiting have a different view,its difficult to try and reasure friends,without sounding patronising.

You're in a difficult position Mrbluesky, but at least you realise that its hard for everyone involved.

I hope your colleagues take any advice on offer and secure employment even if its outside their comfort zone.

Are you personally friends with anyone still going through the process?

i would say work friends,not really outside personally,my close friends have either retired or moved into new positions.i,m aware that some lads have turned down some positions because of locations etc,i believe its a matter of patience hear and let the crossmatching process run its cause,my work friends hav,nt recieved any notices yet and most will get 3 months so there is a long way to go yet,easy for me to say i know, but i expect most of them to get jobs this month.

Sorry its a bit late but congratulations on your new job. I start my new post on Tuesday am a bit nervous as it is a bit different to my previous role but the boss seems very nice so I hope it will be ok.
