Well after nearly 17 months of hassle with GT I finally received my completion certificate.

Right, bring on the next headache. I have applied for copies of my statutory credit report from Equifax, Experian and Callcredit.

I have one back so far........

Equifax -

First problem, one of my creditors included in the IVA is still on there. The default date is shown as 29/06/07 not the IVA start date of 01/07. I assume, although incorrect it will drop off my file on 29th of this month anyway ???

Secondly there is a default from Orange dated 12/02/10 its only £14 but I have no idea what it is for or where it came from. What can I do about this and if it turns out I did owe it can i just pay it ? Thing is i am still with Orange now, however there are two entries on my file, my current account and another one showing a deafult.

Lastly there is a notice of correction with details of when my IVA was removed from insolvency service records. Can i have this removed if so how ?

There is also a section entitled "Court and Insolvency Information" Which also has details of my IVA and showing a satisfied date of 5/6/13. I thought all traces of IVA would be removed after 6 years ?

God knows what other two will show when they turn up. Just when i thought it was all over [:(]

Useful article here:

You can ask for the NOC to be removed, Equifax are the only ones to add this and will take it down promptly when requested.

Well done on getting the CC -- let's hope it's the beginning of a flood :-)

We have a poster here, "The Matrix", who is something of a CRA guru -- hopefully he will pick up on this and help out.

Few questions in the OP. I'll work my way down...

Default will drop off around 6 years from the date of default. So sometime around 29/06/2013. Equifax I found take an extra couple of weeks to remove the default. Experian 6 years and a day, so it's removed on the 30/06/2013. Call Credit I've found delete mostly ahead of time, though there was one I chased at 6 years and a day and was removed then.

I'd challenge the Orange default if they have not wrote to you telling you that they were going to default your account.

Yes, Equifax SHOULD NOT DO THIS, BUT THEY DO. Ask that they remove the Notice Of Correction.

The satisfied date of a IVA in the Public Record Information is a GOOD THING. You want that to show the date the IVA was Satisfied. Usually the date the IVA completion certificate was issued. THIS DATE IS NOT USED FOR THE 6 YEAR MARKER but is needed for the IVA to be removed. It is the start date of the IVA which is used for the start of the 6 years. So you have nothing to worry about on that one.

Hope some of that was of use.

BTW just to add I would get a hold of the other 2 Credit Reports now. It would be more efficient and effective to ask them to update all 3 at the same time as sometimes the same mistakes are made at all three, but not always. I'd certainly do this before tackling Orange.

Thanks for the info Matrix.

How long is the IVA satisfied information on the report ? Reason I thought it was a bad thing was because it is the only thing on the report showing any trace of the iva(except NOC). Everything else has gone. If it wasnt there how would anyone know i'd ever even been in an IVA ?
