Hi - there are a couple of guys who post to the forum regulary who can help with a mortgage for your partner. As always - see previous post - he must speak with his IP and disuss this firstly.

Good luck.

Chat to MIKEBDOMAIN from Leybridge, Im in an IVA and they have just sorted me a good deal on a mortgage, Im even leaving my High St lender!

You have to get approval from the IP though, if your just converting rent payments into mortgage payments for around the same amount you should be ok, but if your partners IVA is going to suffer due to your new mortgage you might have problems![B)]

Hi
No it won't,your partner will need to ensure that the mortgage will not affect his ability to pay the IVA.
I presume that you will be funding the deposit and please take legal advice to safeguard your interest in the property.

Hi Tarnia and welcome to the forum. Your partner will need the permission of his IP / creditors to enable you both to get a mortgage. If your partners IVA has been run satisfactorily it will not cause too much of a problem.

You will need to seek the advice of a mortgage broker who has experience in dealing with IVA's.

P.S Thank you for your kind words jpj

As Mike says you need permisiion from the IP involvedfrom there that would be a starting point to contact a qualified mortgage broker to see what`s available for you. Hope this helps. Tony
