8 years after successful completion of my IVA I still get letters asking for me to sign to have PPI applied for by the umpteenth IP- not even my original one. . I feel bullied and harassed. I’m trying to move on with my life. I’ve had another letter today after several years and I’m
Devastated. I’ve been debt free for 8 years but not allowed to forget my IVA , heal or move on. Am I legally obliged to sign this paperwork? And can any claims be applied for without my consent? I feel like I’m just a constant stream of income to them. They have had literally thousands of my PPI and have not even acknowledged it much less give her the promised 10% cut for complying. I refuse to comply any more. What are the consequences? Thanks in advance.

After 8 years they are clutching at straws. What, if anything, they can do for non-compliance at this stage is a guess, at best.

I would be inclined to respond with " After 8 years I have retained no record of these alleged accounts and have no knowledge of the circumstances that existed at the time they might have been taken out. Please refer to your own records".
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

As Foggy says.

They are relying on our consent rather than the IP being able to push this based on their legal powers.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
