Hello. My boyfriend is buying a house this year. I am staying well and truly out of the mortgage due to my iva which began september 2013. However we have had a discussion about when my iva finishes that we can add me to the mortgage. Has anyone had any experience with this? I would hate to damage his credit rating. Thanks in advance! [:D]

As long as you clean up your credit files and wait until 6 years after the start of the IVA there should be no problem.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

You will be ok so long as your record is clear of all trace of the iva. You may have to use a broker like Ryan or Shaun at the time to source the best deal.
In the meantime remain the lodger only in the house so you cannot be financially linked in anyway.
