Now I am no mortgage broker but I have spent quite a few months trying to get a new fixed rate mortgage, It would seem having talked to most of the high street banks that most of them wont touch you for at least 1 year after your IVA has completed. Even then 3-4 years seems to be the norm. Brokers may well have other options or you could try as I did (if they were not one of your creditors) HSBC. They need your IVA to have been completed 1 year then they will look at each case on its own.
I know HSBC have not been getting the best write up recently round here but they were the only bank who would help my wife and myself.

General info for anyone coming out of an IVA looking to remortgage.

Accord Mortgages take IVA's satisfied/completed after 1 day if they have been well conducted.

They have 5 yr fix rates around 5.25% at present with 25% deposit/equity.

They are part of Yorkshire Building Society, so a reputable company.

They only deal through mortgage brokers, but if you find one that does'nt charge a broker fee that should'nt be a problem.

They also take 100% of Maintenance and working/child tax credits & child benefits as income, grossed up ( x 1.3 )

Do they only do remortgages? Is the rate of 5.25% only for prime cases?

Accord do not only offer remortgages they offer mortgage funding for purchases.

The rate will depend on your particular circumstances after they have conducted a credit search on you.

Historically Accord were players in the adverse/sub prime market but like a lot of lenders are re positioning themselves with the current mortgage market changes. Tony

It is possible to get an 85% mortgage for first time buyers who have had CCJs (limits apply) and who have had an IVA satisfied for at least three years and as long as it has been satisfactorily maintained.

Available through a restricted panel of intermediaries.

Please feel free to contact me for further qualification.
