well things have gone from bad to worse with hubbys job!!
was told on tuesday that they are paying 199 off and the majority will be from production. On his job, there is 39 and they want rid of 21... Not looking good!!
He has done all the usual and put his CVs on sites, got offered a job but its in Kent.. saying as we live in the North East not going to bother.
Any advice on sleeping, I know theres no point worrying, but just can't help it!!
Ang, so sorry to hear that. You've not had a good time of it lately have you?
I have everything crossed that he is one of the ones they keep.
Don't blame you for not wanting to move.

So sorry to hear the news Angela - but try and remain hopeful as he may be one of the 18 left. All I seem to be hearing about at the moment is more job losses, and at this time of year it is always more worrying.
As to advice on sleeping, I recommend a big cuddle. At the end of the day you will still have each other, and the little one, so try and remain cheerful as these sort of things gerneally work out one way or the other.
just fed up Jan, feel like could cry... wish I could have went last night just to have a moan to people who know my situation and what going through..
the girls were going out last night but couldn't afford it, they said they'd lend me money but none know of my circumstances!!
when IVA is a secret it is quite lonely, when you've nobody to turn too [:(]
It is Ang - you have to bottle it up. The one good thing about FF is that you can sit and talk about debt and your problems to your heart's content knowing that you won't be judged.
It would have been lovely if you could have come but it is a long way when you're skint.
I really hope he is one of the ones left and someone has to be!
Sending you a big hug )))))HUG((((( and everything is crossed.

thanks, me too. but not holding my breath!! Depends on the criteria for choosing!! He's one of the most trained operators but was off this time last year with a sciatic problem...
If he's been back and ok since then and he's good at his job, it has to go in his favour.

Oh Ang, my heart goes out to you. Its hard enough being in an IVA without the added pressure you've got.
At least you have a fab IP, who'll help you all she can. I know you wanted to go last night but there'll be other times and you can offload on here anytime.
Fingers crossed hubby will be one of the lucky ones and he can carry on looking for jobs. Its easier to find a job when you're in a job if you know what I mean. I'll take a look at his CV if you want, just in case it needs "tweaking". There's so much competition out there and a decision can be made on a CV within 5 seconds.
As for help with sleeping, Mel's right have a cuddle and remember you have a fabulous family that will always be together.
thanks love, I'll tell him. he's had a few responses on his CV, but its all if something comes up!! Which is a good thing but its not going to help now if the worst happens..
