After being promised by Karol at GT that our CCs would be issued by 6 Dec, surprise surprise, there has been 'a short delay' & they will not now be issued until the end of this week. To say I am unhappy is an understatment.[:(!] I have demanded that the CCs be sent recorded delivery by the end of the week and have stated that, if this does not happen,I will be following the gateway complaints procedure to make a formal complaint against GT. Watch this space.

Not good and hope they fulfil their promise of the end of the week.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

With respect Melanie I think we've shown more than enough patience. Without you knowing the full details of our case I don't think that comment is called for.

Tinks81 .... I can imagine how frustrating this is for you, and I am sure Mel did not mean anything by her comment, simply don't act in haste re making a formal complaint as it is clear by Karol's response GT are working on it .....

I sincerely hope you are able to close this chapter this side of Christmas .... Let us know and we will all raise a glass with you x

It certainly won't be "acting in haste"!!!!! Again, you don't know the details of the case, so please don't presume that I'm going at this all guns blazing just because of a weeks(??!!!!!) delay. To tell the full story would take hours, suffice to say anything I may or may not do if the paperwork isn't here before Christmas will not be something I have simply chosen to do on a whim. I have more written evidence of broken promises than you would care to read. Yes Karol has helped to some extent, but now it's all, according to her, the fault of the closure team again. Just when people thought GT were getting their act together.............

Tinks81 .... Didn't mean to upset / offend you in any way. It appears whoever says what, you will take it the wrong way at the minute ... Maybe it would be best if you communicated via GT rather than the forum on this matter, if you are unable to take the friendly words of forum members.

We are here to simply offer advice and support ...nothing else!

That's the whole point luluj - I CAN'T communicate with GT. but if you feel I shouldn't be commenting on here then fine. Maybe tho people should word their "friendly advice" differently so it can't be misunderstood? I'm sorry that I quite obviously don't fit into the clique on here (not that that bothers me), but I always thought it was a way if sounding off & airing my grievances with no-one else to talk to about the sad mess we were in. How wrong can someone be.

tinks ive been in same boat as you and hit my head against that brick wall time and time again.
BUT i did finally wear them down and got them to sort out my CC in a timely manner.

It did take several communications a week sheer b***** mindedness and a massive games of brinkmanship with GT where they threratened breach time after time when i refused to let them increase my fees.

You dont need a mass variation to complete your IVA it just makes life easier for Grant Thornton and puts more £££ in thier pocket.
Keep at them via e-mail, telephone, letter (make letters recorded) make yourself such a major thorn in thier rear they want to shut your case quickly!!.
I had such a crap time with GT im currently in middle of complaint with the regulators as i beleive the IVA industry is too open to abuse by those who are willing to take the risk and the people in need are been punished for it.

But please remember people on here are not GT and they help out the kindness of thier heart not because they get paid for it.
Time to end of IVA 0 days
Time to end of GT dealing with it...CC recieved after a battle royal !!

You're not wrong tinks81 we're hear to listen, we're by no way experts there's only a handful of those that post. It's hard when you've nobody to sound off too and I'm guilty for sounding off too at times. I can totally understand your frustration as broken promises are not something I take lightly, best to say nothing in my opinion if you don't know!

I can't speak for Melanie but my opinion would be she meant nothing by her comment it was a supportive message. Hang in there and it would be great to hear from you when that all important certificate is received.

My advice would be to go ahead and make the complaint! All you need to do is look at the posts on this forum to see how a lot of these companies operate - it simply outrageous and unacceptable! Most seem out to make money as much money as they can in addition to making people's lives a misery! I personally think something ought to be done about it as it just so unfair especially when you are trying to rebuild your life.

I meant nothing more than to be supportive to tinks81 - however if you want my professional opinion then I don't think that complaining about the delay is going to get you anywhere quicker than your firm is prepared to issue to document to be frank. Best of luck with whichever route you choose to follow, however, but note that the regulators are also taking around 6 months to deal with formal complaints internally.
