A few months ago Andy posted a link to Secretariat who arrange vehicle contract hire for those of us with poor credit history. Well, this week my brand new 'silver lightening' Astra arrived!

As he has posted it before I am sure that Andy and Admin wont mind me posting their link again. For anyone who is self employed or in business and might need a vehicle I can thoroughly recommend their brilliant and efficient service.

Great news Caerrie ... I wonder whether this is a sign of the times in that businesses are becoming to realise that just because we have a poor credit history, which we have dealt with, we are not pariahs after all.

Love the smell of new car! We have a 55 Skoda (bought with a bank loan designed to pay off the cards!!!!) so it's gonna have to last us at least the next 5 years!

Happy Driving to you both, I do like cars I must admit and often spend ages car spotting! However, my 03 Focus has to last me a fair few years yet!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

51 plate fiat punto has at least four years to go ! Problem is have spent money to the value of the car on it in the last few months sorting problems out - there comes a time when I am sure we have to say good bye!

How much was the lease car and was this allowed under the IVA agreement - what impact did it have on your payments?

It's quite expensive at £330pm Lulu ... but that's because I have a dodgy credit history. But a decent car is my main expense that I need to be able to work ... all I need after that is writing paper, a mobile phone and a black suit! ... so I don't mind paying over the odds, especially as being single I need an ultra reliable vehicle.

Because of the above in my IVA they allowed me my £280 car lease payments for the car I had then.
