I phoned my IVA admin people in December about when my last payment would be - they said last payment is Dec 2012, but having just checked my bank account I've found just under 600 quid missing as the standing order has been deducting money from my account for the IVA for the last 3 months - is this right if not how do I get my money back?
Thanks in advance for your help

Firstly i would cancel your staning order if you have completed your IVA ....secondly you will now need to work with IP to gain a refund of monies paid ...they will need to confirm that all payments were made up to December and then they should be able to refund the money
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !

Hi Mr Upset. Welcome to the forum. As lulu says...It should be straightforward, but please be mindful that standing orders are instructions you give the bank to pay out, unlike DD's which is money requested by the third party to be paid. This means you are the only one that can cancel the SO/instruction to pay. Let's just hope your IP is swift in refunding you. Good luck x
