Is it possible to have a mobile phone contract whilst in an IVA or do the network providers not allow this? I am currently with O2 on a business contract which doesnt end until next year (I dont think) but just wondered if I were in an IVA is it more likely they not let me renew contract?
If you are already with them they will probably let you renew without any issues. If you need to move to a new provider this will be ok and T Mobile are IVA friendly

Fabulous, thanks for your reply! Just keep thinking of lots of different questions and "what-ifs" and this was another! I need my mobile phone and the amount I use it contract is cheapest option!
Thanks![:)]
Ask as many questions as you like. I've been with 02 throughout the duration of my IVA and upgraded with them no questions asked. Even took a contract out for daughter with T-mobile too.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
Hi lisa.53. I've always been with Voda and never had problems. I have a bb with Virgin as bbm is free!! They phoned and offered it to me as I have my landline, bb and tv with them. It was only £7pm. It's up for renewal next month, so it'll be interesting to see what they say then. Good luck with yours. x

I have always been able to renew my contract ok with orange during our iva and my husband has opened new contracts with orange and tmobile without any trouble
hi, i've recently applied for a new contract through a 3rd party for a tmobile contract but have been rejected three times? im 2 years into my IVA. i spoke to tmobile but they said they can't comment and that i should speak to equifax who do their credit checks. anyone else had this?
hmm, maybe? although the email said network declined. i'm with vodafone at the moment but they don't seem to want to give me a good deal and the 3rd party companies are so much cheaper than going direct. oh well, i'll keep pestering voda to sort me out!
