hiya tried to get mobile pt back onto contract ( no debt at all with them) but because of credit check it was a no ( understandable) because of credit score the iva is in my name as was all the debt, would my credit score affect my husband getting a mobile on contract he has no debt? and does anyone know any company that will accept you into a contract whilst in an iva?

Hi and welcome.

Your husband shouldn't have a problem, but you will unfortunately. However, I do know of one or two posters who have managed to get a contract with TMobile whilst in an IVA.

Could your husband get a contract for you in his name?

My husband got a contract whilst in an IVA with Virgin Media - did it on-line.

Hi

I rang loads of providers and was rejected, I did in the end succeed with T Mobile and got a good deal on a monthly contract. Give them a call.

I think that T Mobile are the best ones to try. My friend is a discharged bankrupt and she was able to get a contract with them, and I know other companies wouldn't consider her.

There are quite a lot of good PAYG deals out there at the moment. Tesco have a tariff where they triple your credit.

I've never been asked for my hubbys details when taking out a mobile phone contract, and we have a joint account.

If it is going to be in his name, I don't know why they want to know your finanicial details.

It maybe that they just need to know whose names are on the account - I've had to give that before.

Although Happy Buddah has mentioned O2, I would be wary as having been with them on contract for many years before the IVA I tried getting the broadband and was credit checked so no broadband even though have never missed a payment with the contract phone. You could try online, maybe a different procedure they go through?
