Don't know that one Michael. I kept mine going and it's part of my i and e.

How long have they got to go?

I take it you will revert to pay and go afterwards? Will it cost you less than you are paying now?

If you do cancel, obviously you will have to pay x amount to finish so I suppose you could put it in as an unsecured debt.

Perhaps Melanie or another expert can advise?

You big softie!

We're watching the motor cycle racing.

Go for it with the phones then. Don't really see any reason why not.

Just off to catch up with some baseball!

I changed Tarrif on my phone (cut down the free mins and texts that I wasnt using each month) and my monthly bill from £70 to £35 !

If you do stay, check that you have the best plan suited to you,and remember if you leave you may have to stay on pay as u go for all ur IVA due to credit checks!

Yes they can be included as i included both 3 and orange. One word of warning my iva was a ff and all the defalts are marked as satisfied apart from 3 who i owed the least money. Despite many calls to them they have refused to mark as satisfied all they say is I still owe them money. Does anybody know how I can insist this happens.

I'm surprised that they won't let you drop the tariff. Most of the operators will let you drop down at least one rung during your contract. They usually only say that you have to have been in your contract for at least 9 months.

whichwaynow, if you've got a completion certificate from your IP then your debts are satisfied, send a copy of the completed certificate from your IP to the credit reference agencies and your creditors and advise them the same that those debts that were defaulted were included in the IVA and thus should be marked as satisfied.

The default will remain from 6 years from the date of your creditors meeting, and I'd get them to amend any defaults post that date back to that date too but at least they should show as satisfied now.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

Hi Michael

It seems strange that they wont put you on a better tarif when their alternative would be for the contract to be ended if it were to be included in your IVA.

I kept my Vodafone contract going ... and that I had in my name for my daughter to use ... I thought that it might help a little to repair my credit rating ... not that I ever intend to apply for credit again but it may in handy for changing my mortgage later on down the line.

Hi
Sounds great but i'm afraid that as I understand it the creditors are under no obligation to mark your debt as satisfied.Good practice should make this happen, and it does for the vast majority of creditors, but for those that refuse I am not aware of any recourse that can be taken by the debtor.
