I kept my old phone but its a decent one,a nokia n95. And yes its a cracking deal considering I was paying £35 a month for 500 texts and 400 mins!!!
The wife switched to simplicity too and got unlimited texts and 800 mins a month for £15!!(kept her samsung phone too).
It means that we have gone from £70 and month to £30. And the £40 saving is ours to keep, the IP doesnt want it and has said to keep using the original figure on our expenditure forms!!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
At the moment I pay £27 per month with unlimited texts & 6oo mins.Dont use it much so after contract runs out might get a sim only where you get free texts and 600 mins for £20 and you can cancel at anytime. Or one of the above deals.
Daughter tends to text me a lot, so I do use those (although not the full amount). I don't use all the minutes, but do like to know they are there if I need them.
If stepson/daughter want phoning on their mobile then I use mine as it costs nothing and it does from the home phone. Hubby doesn't have a mobile, so it's just mine.

I pay £25 a month for 225 minutes and 250 texts and I don't come close to using either! I have thought about changing to PAYG or SIM only, but I don't want to get stuck with something unsuitable as I won't get anything else with my credit rating.

Thats good. thought you would be able to upgrade on your existing suppliers. Not so with a new one though without the credit checks.
Yeah can imagine its hard to change suppliers. Thankfuly being with 02, the iphone is one of few luxuries I maybe able to look forward to. ( Not that i am complaining!)
I've been with O2 for a number of years now and always been very pleased with them and their customer service.
Don't mind sticking with them. Contract up in August so now's the time to start looking at new phones!

I'm with orange, no problems with them. They gave me a loyalty 10% discount on my contract so only pay £27 instead of £30. Mine runs out in Jan but still might either reduce the tariff or go on sim only.
I'll probably stick with the same tariff - I do love me new phones![:D]

Probably because of credit checks. It depends how much I can afford in January but I could stick with £27 to get new phone or just pay for sim for the £20 which gives me free texts & 600 mins. My phones ok & I have a cheapy spare.
I like O2 so will be quite happy to stay with them.
