Mark I don't have anything positive to say except Mercers handled my debt with Barclaycard and basically called me every week, with a threat of a doorstep collection. They didn't come, I didn't offer a token payment, although I am in no way saying that you shouldn't do. My IVA was approved last Friday and Barclaycard voted in favour of it! Just try and stay polite and let them know the various steps you are taking towards your IVA and hopefully it will be over for you soon.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi yes we had the same experience with mercers on behalf of bcard - we did not give anything while the iva was being prep - they will call, send postcards but lots of postings on this site confirming that they almost certainly will not to anything

Keep your chin up this is the worst period[:)]

Same here makss..Mercers/Barclaycard. I had a few letters and phone calls mentioning doorstep collections.
They didn't turn up (wouldn't have answered the door if they did!), but I do remember how unnerved it made me feel.
There's lots of good advice on this forum about this topic **.. maybe somebody who is slightly more computer literate will point you in the right direction.
All the best with your proposal, and hope things move swiftly.
