Hi FD

From the previous posts I have read on here, I think that Mercers are the firm that who Barclays sell their debts to. I'm sure an expert will confirm it shortly.

Mercers are actually part of Barclaycard - they are the debt arm. They will be a nightmare until your IVA is accepted.

Eventually they will sell on the debt to Max Recovery/Eversheds.

Must admit that they never phoned me on Boxing Day. They must all be desperate for overtime money!

Not long for you to go now.

they used to phone and threaten me all the time and I sought reassurance from the forum and got it, they did send postcards saying they were calling but never did.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Lesley

I just googled Mercers;omg, they have such a bad press on the consumer forum site!

Don't think I want to speak to them. Has anybody been unfortunate enough to have a conversation with these guys? How did it go?

They are bullies breakdown - they even tried to get a payment from me the day my IVA was approved and I had just told them of the fact. I avoided answering any calls from them until my meeting day.
