I know all the calls and letters are just to "shock" you into payments and its not working really. I am standing firm, either not answering or answering and politely but firmly repeating - what I am doing, and no I cannot make you any payment as that would be unfair to all the others. However when I spoke to Mercers today they said that until any creditors meeting my account would only tentatively be on hold and they would keep ringing every 7 days, also they couldn't do that indefinately and to tell my IP firm to hurry up or they would have to send collectors.

They told me the same Elizabeth and I posted on here as have numerous other people they do seem an aggressive bunch, if you do a search for Mercers you will find old posts relating to them. Nobody ever turned up on my doorstep despite lots of threats so hopefully they won't yours before your acceptance.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

You're lucky Elizabeth to get them to call once a week - it was several times a day with us.

Ignore them telling you the collectors will be coming - that is just a really nasty scare tactic, and I would imagine it works with a lot of people!

They never sent them to me even after several letters saying they were going to and even after I wrote and told them to bring it on, I was quite looking forward to dealing with them!

Hey Elizabeth, they are saying the same to me. They called just before AGAIN. Don't worry, not long to go, we'll both have to hang in there.[:I][:)] Viki X

They are just not a nice firm to have to deal with, and hopefully neither of you will have to put up with it for much longer.

Thanks for the replies - its funny I seem to be taking it all in my stride now - like I posted the other day I am more stressed with work now - get rid of one stress to get another. Have changed job type (not employer) and I think I have done the wrong thing - Senior Management turning out to be not what I thought. I feel sick at the thought of work tomorrow but I think I will hang on in there and play the "stress" card if its getting too much - in the meantime I am going to look for other jobs on the job search at work. I haven't technically applied for this new role I just said I would move because their are pushed so I don't think the rules and regs apply and I can actually apply for others that come up!!
