Just took a call from FJ. IVA has been approved except Santander want us to sell our car and retain 3k of the sale price to buy another car.
What do you guys think i should do? the iva hangs on this decision so i think its a no brainer!! sell the car.??

What is the value of the car they want you to sell? You should be able to get one to last the term for the £3k they are allowing you to keep, which does sound generous. Do Santander hold a deciding percentage of the vote ?

Santander hold the deciding vote, the car is valued at approx £4500. Having a reliable car is a must for me as i work perminent nights and i no this car is reliable having had it from new.

I agree a realiable car is a must for anybody who needs to commute to work, no car - no work, no IVA payment, why do they do this? A 4.5k car that is to last 5 years of an IVA isn't much in my opinion! Would you actually get 4.5k for it too?
