The type of response you get and who deals with you depends on which company you are with.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
They seem like a good company. Well recommended. Seem to know what they are doing but guy dealing with it now doesn't seem very approachable. May be bad of me to say but it's just a big change from previous girl.
Main thing anyways I wud like to know is wud it be possible that the main creditors have come back??
If they do will they tell me ?? Or do I have to wait until meeting date
Most of it is done by email, fax etc. so its a case of waiting but the IVA company will flag up any concerns quickly.

Good luck for your meeting, I'm sure it will be fine. You probably won't find anything out until the day itself. As far as your new contact goes, once all the set up has been done, the day to day running of your iva shouldn't require much contact with the company, so don't worry too much if they aren't that approachable. Apart from annual reviews, I hardly spoke to mine! You may well find it will change again anyway. Good luck!
I always rang my IP with questions- even as my F&F was going through recently!
I was calling to ask if the creditors had been sent their letters to claim their dividends, i called to ask if they had been paid etc. My CC is now in the post, so hopefully no more phone calls from me!
At the end of the day, it is a service and they are getting paid for providing it, so why shouldn't you call and ask for updates?
Started IVA 27th Feb 2012 - Due to complete 27th Jan 2018 !!
Full & Final submitted and accepted 30th March 2015, paid 10th April 2015 - 3 yrs 1 month into IVA
Completion Certificate received- 30th April 2015!!
Most creditors do not vote until just before the meeting and in some cases on the day of the meeting itself. If there were any queries they may be raised earlier and the IP will go back to you for answers. HMRC usually raise any queries quickly but if they are not a creditor it is likely there are few if any votes in at this time.
I was on the golf course when my IP rang me and explained my IVA had been rejected by Amex !!! I can tell you the news did not do much for my already fragile game.
Two weeks later and after a very fraught period of negotiation, it was finally accepted.
So don't panic even if the first news is not good.
OK soo meeting was supposed to be today And I haven't heard anything apart from brief update this morning. do the creditors have right to the end of the day to reply??
They have until the time of the meeting. IP's are often very lax at getting back to you with the outcome. They could be negotiating to get a better result, or have simply overlooked letting you know what's going on -- try and give them a phone.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
