My IVA was approved on 13 June 2007 and before that on 21 May 2007 I received a letter from Eversheds on behalf of MAX Recovery Ltd telling me that my MBNA account had been transferred to them. MBNA/Eversheds did not vote at the creditor's meeting. Today I received a normal type credit card statement from MBNA asking me to ring them to make a debit card payment and did I know that my credit history stays with me for 6 years. I suppose you can't blame then for trying but how many people have rung them and made payment when in an IVA and also when Eversheds are administering the MBNA account? It sounds a bit underhand to me.

Hi There

I think it just takes time for the iva decision and paperwork to filter through. I got a letter from Morgan Stanley today saying they had to regretfully reduce my credit limit from 2250 to 1450! They did vote in agreement to my iva on Monday, so who knows if they know what they are doing either!

I would just put it in a pile and if your get any more letters or phone calls revert them to your iva, and dont let it bother you.

Good luck onyour journey to debt freedom! Im still getting used to the idea!
Best regards
Dawn

Good advice from Dawn. I still have letters from Littlewoods (a complete pain in the you know where!) and I was in an IVA for 4 months from October 2006, and I then went BR in March this year! Even after sending them a copy of my BR order they are still writing to me. The OR is now contacting them again, so I would get your IP on the case - it's what they are paid for after all.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Thanks for the responses. It surprises me that MBNA have sent a statement even though they have sold the debt to MAX Recovery. It doesn't bother me at all, I just found it odd. I'll add it to my pile!

I had a letter from Morgan Stanley stating that my account was now run by Goldfish bank as from 1st June. But Morgan Stanley phoned me yesterday for an update on my IVA creditors date, so who is running my account?

Heres a good one. Hubby and I have been in an iva for 6 months and on thursday he got a new cashpoint /debit/cheque guarantee card from his tsb ac.
Am obviously going to return it with a letter and ask for any money thats in it (dont think well get it only about fifteen quid) but talk about one hand not knowing what the other is doing. They were our main creditor.

It's cetainly easy to see how people can get credit when they shouldn't when even people in an IVA get get a debit card from one of their creditors! I'm still getting letters from Capital One and Barclaycard offering loans. I suppose it takes a while to filter down to all their departnents or is it easier to leave us on than take our names off?

louiseh, you make a good point. Who is running your Morgan Stanley account and my MBNA account?

Yes Todd I have seen it posted that they are on commission from the amount that they collect, which obviously can make them m ore aggressive with the calls.

Thanks Ang
I thought so it does appear that way to me because they are so agressive on the phone they must be getting somthing out of it i feel exhausted after the calls most times.
