Hi Tray and welcome to the forum. Your boyfriend / husband won't have to contribute to your IVA, but your payments will need to be reassessed to take into account his contribution to the household expenses.

I earn 40% of household income my wife 60%, so we split household bills in the same proportion. Other than letting my IP know the ratio (and showing payslips as proof), thats the only involvement my wife has in my IVA.

I then take off my personal expenses and rest goes into IVA.

Hi Tray and welcome to the forum,

If you get married or move in with your boyfriend his income and monthly expenditure will have to be incluted into the IVA.

Hi Michelle, why would his income have to be included in the IVA? I live with my partner and he didn't have to pay anything towards my IVA and I only had to declare the percentage of the bills that each of us paid.

Hi skippy,

What i meant is that they will have to make another income/expenditure budget and work out the percentage of the partners expenses.

You are likely to have to complete another income and expenditure report but your IVA shouldn't affect your partner over and above them paying their fair share of the household bills etc...
