In 5 weeks it should be over, I can almost taste the freedom. However it feels like wishing days away. Been trying to think of the emotions that an IVA puts you through and capturing it in words, there is one song that will be the first I play on Wednesday the 29th of Feb.
Feelin Good by Nina Simone
Does anyone else have a song that helps them cope?
Or am I the only one?
Keep with it, keep going there is an end.

I don't have any particular song that keeps me going - I have my favourite groups/singers and usually anything from them will cheer me up!!

As hubby and I have completely different tastes in music then I don't think we'll be playing anything together when we finish!!!

Will probably be in the pub though!!!

Ohhh DJ, music is my life!

Back in my uni days i did a large piece of work about the therapeutic use of music and how research shows that music can be matched emotionally to how we think, feel and behave, really interesting stuff!

I have several songs i use depending what im after, to chill out to, to life my mood etc

To Chill out is listen to Dante's La Vita Nuova (its the operatic piece written for the film Hannibal when there in the out door performance!!) Either that or anything by Lorenna McKennit.

To life my mood my guilty pleasure is Erasure (Super huge fan!!)

Music can be a great way of expressing how we feel, especially when we have an emotional attachment to a song!

Won't be long for you now, all the best for your debt free future.

I'm not a music lover, I do love silence though, I'm sat here now in silence all alone and loving it. Can't concentrate with music or other about and I'm supposed to be doing uni work.......shhhhh don't tell!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I'm with Jan on this one, will be in the pub celebrating, or me and hubs might take a small bottle of champagne and a couple of glasses up a mountain in the lake district and sit at the top one of those rare days of sunshine they have over there and just smile that this whole nightmare will finally be over and we can get on with the rest of our lives

When I was discharged from BR I celebrated by going for a Chinese meal. We went every year on the anniversary until they put the prices up and we couldn't afford it any more!

Regarding music, I would listen to my three favourite albums - Born In The USA by Bruce Springsteen, Bat Out Of Hell by Meatloaf and Songs From Sun Street by The Saw Doctors.

Lem - that bottle of champagne in the Lake District sounds lovely!!!

I like most sorts of music but rock and some metal are my favourites.

Can't be doing with classical though.

Ohhh you a metal fan Jan? Up until last year i went to Download festival since 2000! Seen some awesome legendary bands etc as well as some new talent!

I got into metal many years ago when someone gave me a copy of Metallicas 'Black' album and it stemmed from there!

Most proud rock moment was breaking 2 ribs in a mosh pit watching Slipknot at Download in 2009 [:D] ohhhhh how i feel so old now! Its all radio 4 and national trust memberships in our house now [;)]

I've never been to Download but would love to, especially this year as Metallica are going to be doing the Black Album in it's entirety.

Daughter has been a few times.

Not a fan of Slipknot - there is something about Corey Taylor that is quite disturbing!!!!

Don't listen to the radio at home but I had a DAB set at work and it's permanently tuned to Planet Rock!

Has to be Van Halen's 'Finish what ya started' for the sheer sentiment lol

Lem - champagne up in the Lakes sounds like pure bliss to me....or dancing my socks off at a Kasabian concert....or sat chilling out to a moving piece of classical music - depends on the mood really! Whatever way you do it - find a way to celebrate - it makes the hard work all the more worthwhile :-)
