Sometimes we need to make these mistakes and learn from our own Jan. I say she appears to have a strong head on her shoulders now but when she gets to uni things may change...who knows?

Eldest son is at Uni and youngest son earns an obscene amount of money and spends the same, I often think if I had your money boy I'd be more careful but I guess looking back a few years, I wouldn't I'd be doing the same! It's only the IVA that's put me right. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

To be honest, although my parents never had any money problems as such, my mum was very tight and very frugal throughout our time growing up, we would have one holiday a year but rarely were bought new clothes, had the same meals week in week out and could not have any extras from the supermarket as her budget wouldn't allow it, we never really went anywhere, never went out for pizza or had a takeaway even, but she never got into debt, but both me and my brother completely went the other way once we started earning and living our own lives, he ended up repossessed, me in an IVA! so I think really it is a case of just learning your own way in life x

Totally agree, what will be will be and you learn by your own mistakes. We at least can see the light now some brighter than others but it's there and we're on our way to debt freedom. x
