Don't know what other posters think, but in my opinion,
things look a bit scary on the countrywide financial front.
It will soon be cheaper to fill your tank with whisky rather than petrol.
The energy companies have us by the doo dahs.
Major high street stores reporting a poor christmas/
The media talking us into a recession.
There will surely be an explosion of people seeking IVA/Bankruptcy.
I foresee a queue outside Melanie's office longer than outside a newly opened NHS dentist.

PS
Does the forum know what the energy companies and Orville the duck have in common?.

I agree OT. My little Corsa currently costs nearly £50 to fill it up - I'm lucky that our office is now a lot nearer than it was. Unfortunately anything I save is swallowed up elsewhere!

Go on then, what have the energy companies and that stupid green duck got in common?!?!?

Sorry you made me laugh and I forgot the reason for my reply[:I]

I am sick of hearing about the credit crunch, house prices crashing, energy rises, recession, etc, etc. I suppose it is January though....
My car is still in the garage getting repaired after my momentary lapse of concentration and the back of a fiesta [:I] that I am driving around in a spare car my company has. Its a big Saab and it need filling up everyday as is a very sporty and petrol model and am standing at the pump so long it feels like I am filling up a 20tonne truck!!!
Can't wait to get my diesel back as many more miles between fill ups....one positive though I must have so many necter points now by Christmas I will be able to invite everyone on the forum to my house for a slap up dinner[:D]

I have got the same car Emma and mine is not costing nearly £60 to fill up each time, whereas it was less than £50 when I first had it two years ago.

It goes like a rocket Melanie I am so lucky I still have a licence after driving this car around for so long[:)]
It is such an uneconomical car, but a pure pleasure to drive

Personally I think we should all go back to riding horses.

They're environmentally friendly, wouldn't cause so many accidents and we'd all get fit too. Plus they're prettier than cars [:D]
