I just wanted to post saying that there is life beyond an IVA, and to keep going and don't give up. In the middle, I remember, I thought it would never end. But here I am, six and a half years after the IVA was accepted, debt free, and with a four figure sum in savings, a proper bank account with a real debit card, a credit card (for use only for emergencies and to rent cars!). It does all come to an end and life does get better. I want to say how prompt and helpful Payplan were throughout the experience. I know others have had bad experiences with them, but they were great for me. (I wish I could say the same for Equity in Finance!) Also, Yorkshire Bank whose Readycash account was excellent, and the next best thing to a proper account. They didn't hold the IVA against me, and as soon as the credit reference file was cleared up in January, they told me I could have any bank account I wanted. I can't tell you how much good it did me to hear a bank tell me that.
If any of that is an encouragement to keep going, and not give up, then please accept it as such.[:)]
